Nepal is currently passing through transitional period. Violations of human rights are rampant in the country due to weak governance system and the government’s passivity to take action against the persons involved in Human Rights Violations. Torture was practiced rampantly during the decade long armed insurgency but the victims of torture are yet to get any support. CVICT, a national NGO formed in 1990, has been providing support to torture victims since its inception. So far the organization has directly supported approx.43,000 victims including 9,825 women through its Centre based rehabilitation Centre and Mobile Health Clinics, while the advocacy initiatives of the organization supported many more. The organization has been continuing its efforts in collaboration with various national and international organizations. Lone effort of the organization is not sufficient to overcome the problem, so, we seek your continued support and cooperation to materialize the slogan ‘New Nepal Torture Free Nepal’. You can support us by providing financial or other professional support. We value your contribution. Please contact Jamuna Poudyal, Program Director firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested for collaboration with CVICT and to bring positive changes in the life if torture survivors of Nepal.
