National workshop on Victims and Witness Protection in the Justice System: Need and Challenges

Centre for Victims of Torture Nepal (CVICT) organized a national level consultation workshop on ‘Victims and Witness Protection in the Justice System: Need and Challenges on 24 March, 2015 at Indreni Foodland, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu . The objective of the workshop was to facilitate a dialogue among the experts, government officials and civil society organizations to highlight the existing challenges and need of victims and witness protection mechanism in the justice system of Nepal.

Workshop was attended by national level government and non-government organizations including Ministry of Law, Justice, Constituent Assembly and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Nepal law commission, Nepal Bar Association, Care Nepal, like-minded CSOs and media representatives.
